Supporting Individuals with Complex Care Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be an integral part of the care team for a participant who lives with level 5 spastic quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and Dystonia.

About the Role

You will facilitate daily living tasks, implement therapy strategies, and support participation in enjoyable activities and community outings. This will include:

  • Daytime Support: Facilitate daily living tasks and implement therapy strategies
  • Morning and Evening Assistance: Help with daily routines, including getting ready for the day and bedtime
  • Specialized Care: Assist with transfers, mobility, and equipment, including a bi-pap machine and managing therapy techniques as per OT

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have experience working with complex care participants and hold relevant qualifications, including:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or related fields
  • A Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • CPR and First Aid certification

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care.
