Airport Security Systems Expert

We're seeking an experienced Airport Security Systems Expert to support our critical security technology infrastructure during a transformative phase at Melbourne Airport.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our security software applications, focusing on Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) and CCTV. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the terminal's safety and security, particularly with the introduction of new screening technologies.

Your expertise will be instrumental in the successful integration of new screening systems, providing hands-on support for system updates, troubleshooting, vendor management, and continuous improvement. You'll ensure our security systems remain robust, reliable, and ready to support evolving needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with enterprise-level servers, security software, and field hardware, as well as strong knowledge of legacy and modern EACS and CCTV systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining EACS and CCTV systems for efficient operation
  • Monitoring system status, alarms, and uptime, with proactive intervention when issues arise
  • Managing service desk tickets and collaborating with the Applications Support team during upgrades
  • Coordinating system design and integration for new projects
  • Managing vendor relationships to meet KPIs in line with service agreements
  • Configuring access permissions for stakeholders
  • Monitoring hardware lifecycles and contributing to asset replacement planning
  • Leading camera view management with operational stakeholders

A successful Airport Security Systems Expert will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, be able to explain technical systems simply, and possess a strong problem-solving mindset.
