Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing the planning, coordination, and delivery of exercise support, representing Cubic to the customer. The incumbent may manage a team either directly or indirectly.

The role typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned programs, including exercise planning, cost management, resource allocation, equipment preparation, and deployment of assets to training areas, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Ensures exercise risks are appropriately managed.
  • Maintains records in line with documentation control methods.
  • Mentors, trains, and develops staff to ensure high performance, ensuring the team has necessary skills to provide excellent service.
  • Provides technical leadership to the team and serves as an on-site presence.
  • Provides exercise reporting for senior management.
  • Manages third-party contractors as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Cubic's Quality Management System.
  • Comply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations.
  • Comply with Cubic Human Resources Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Skills and Experience:

  • 7 years of military experience.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Personal Qualities:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage a team to ensure high performance.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Unparalleled negotiation skills.
  • High levels of customer support and service delivery.
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Flexible to travel when required, as this role involves periods of travel and extended hours.

Condition of Employment:

Successful outcome of a National Police Check.
