Seeking an experienced tradesperson to lead our diverse projects across South Australia. As a key member of the team, you'll oversee subcontractors, implement safety protocols and interpret project documentation.

About the Role

As a Commercial Leading Hand, you will be responsible for managing subcontractors, ensuring quality and maintaining compliance. You will also lead the onsite team, fostering a collaborative environment through continuous communication and performance review.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and integrate subcontractors, building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Implement rigorous safety protocols, including preparing documentation and conducting regular safety meetings.
  • Interpret project documentation to guide the team, ensure quality and maintain compliance.
  • Proactively identify and resolve site issues, manage defect rectification and maintain accurate daily records.
  • Lead and support the onsite team, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in carpentry or a similar trade, including demolition and general site work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Valid Construction White Card and current Australian Driver's Licence, plus the ability to pass drug/alcohol and fit-for-work assessments.
  • Australian Citizenship eligible for DCSI/Defence clearances.
