System Assurance and Engineering Lead

The role of Systems Engineer and Assurance Specialist involves delivering technical expertise to nationally significant Defence projects. This includes providing systems engineering and safety assurance support for transport and infrastructure projects in Australia.
- Lead Verification and Validation efforts across the project, ensuring user needs are captured and met through design and related activities.
- Engage and coordinate with project stakeholders, including Design, Construction, Software, Environmental, and Sustainability subject matter experts, to ensure technical compliance and support safety case submissions.
- Facilitate workshops to identify risks and controls to enhance Systems Safety, RAM, Human Factors implementation in design and delivery.
Technical Requirements include Australian Citizenship and/or eligibility for an Australian Defence security clearance, a Bachelor of Engineering/Science Degree, and experience within regulated industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as experience in applying systems engineering tools.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with project leadership and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the development of effective risk management strategies.
As a successful candidate, you will have a strong foundation in systems engineering principles, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
