ALS operates a state-of-the-art commercial laboratory in Melbourne equipped with the latest technology. We are seeking a Full Time Analytical Chemist to join our high-performing team.

The Day-to-Day
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with Quality Procedures Manual
  • Supervise and train laboratory staff
  • Prioritize daily workload
  • Operate and maintain instrumentation
  • Report results in accordance with Quality work instructions
The Essentials
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a commercial laboratory
  • Previous experience operating GC/FID, GCMS, or LCMSMS required
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent (Honours and Chemistry advantageous)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • A working knowledge of organic sample preparation techniques for Environmental samples
