About the Role

This position is a fantastic opportunity to work in a cutting-edge biocontainment facility, supporting scientific research and safeguarding public health.

  • As an Animal Technician, you will provide expert animal care and welfare, collect and manage samples and data from infected research animals, and collaborate with scientists and veterinarians.
  • You will be responsible for providing technical support in containment, ensuring adherence to Animal Ethics Committee protocols and microbiological security regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Animal Husbandry and Welfare: Ensure the ethical treatment of animals and compliance with approved protocols.
  2. Technical Support in Containment: Assist with research procedures and collect biological samples from animals in PC3/PC4 microbiological containment.
  3. Compliance & Ethics: Ensure adherence to Animal Ethics Committee protocols and microbiological security regulations.
  4. Collaboration & Communication: Liaise effectively with scientists, veterinarians, and technical team members to support research outcomes.
