About the Role

As Assistant Director, you'll be responsible for collaborating with our team of skilled educators, chairing staff meetings, facilitating staff training sessions, and upholding YMCA policies and procedures. You'll also implement a high-quality learning curriculum and support our Centre Director with day-to-day operational duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of educators to deliver high-quality early childhood education and care services
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning curriculum that meets the needs of our children and families
  • Collaborate with the Centre Director to achieve centre goals and objectives
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to educators to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
  • Experience as a Room Leader or Assistant Director in an early childhood setting
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
