Job Title: Senior Policy Specialist for Ageing

This position requires a professional with experience in ageing policy and social protection, particularly in the Pacific region. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills to develop a revised National Ageing Policy that aligns with international standards.

The Key Responsibilities of this role include:
  1. Conducting a situational analysis on ageing and the elderly population in Fiji.
  2. Reviewing existing data and social protection initiatives.
  3. Coordinating with policy stakeholders, including government and civil society actors.
  4. Supporting technical capacity building for Ministry staff and sectoral stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications include:
  • An advanced degree in Demography, Social Work, Social Policy, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7-10 years of professional experience in social policy, preferably in ageing policy and working with Indigenous Populations.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
