About Our Business :

We are a historic bakery in South Australia seeking a Retail Bakery Manager to lead our retail operations. We pride ourselves on handcrafted quality, community spirit, and exceptional customer experience. As we continue to expand, we are searching for the right leader to take our front-of-house to the next level.

Position Title : Retail Bakery Manager

Job Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of our retail outlet, ensuring top-tier customer service and presentation.
  • Determine product mix, stock levels, and retail service standards.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies, merchandising standards, and promotional activities.
  • Handle POS systems, rosters, and ensure cleanliness, compliance, and adherence to food safety standards.
  • Implement and maintain purchasing and pricing policies.
  • Promote and advertise our products and services.
  • Advise customers on products and ensure excellent service.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and manage financial transactions.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for retail operations.
  • Select, train, supervise, and lead a team of retail staff.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve issues professionally to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health & safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years of retail or food outlet management experience, ideally in a fast-moving service environment.
  • Diploma-level qualification or higher in Retail, Business, or Hospitality Management (preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, marketing, stock control, and POS systems.
  • Understanding of food handling and WHS standards.
  • Candidates who speak more than one language will be highly regarded.

What We Offer :

Base Salary : AUD $70,000 – $80,000 plus super

Job Location : Clare Valley, South Australia
