Job Summary

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for sampling, testing and analysis of chemical, microbial samples and raw materials. You will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment where attention to detail is crucial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sampling and testing of chemical, microbial samples and raw materials.
  • Communicating accurate test results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintenance, operation, calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensuring the laboratory environment is well-organized and clean.
Requirements
  • Tertiary education in Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Laboratory Techniques.
  • Previous laboratory experience with excellent computer and report writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and time management skills.

This is a part-time opportunity working Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8am–4pm. A 12-month casual contract with potential to extend.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
