Job Description for Agricultural Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Agricultural Diesel Mechanic/Workshop Manager to join our team at Blue Collar Skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on various agricultural machinery.
  • Manage the daily operations of the workshop, including overseeing the general day-to-day running.
  • Train apprentices and ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with agricultural machinery and equipment.
  • Service and repair a variety of agricultural machinery, including tractors and other heavy equipment.
  • Practice sound knowledge of workshop procedures and ensure OH&S/WHS compliance.
  • Liaise with customers to schedule workloads and complete service reports in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
  • Valid Australian working rights.
  • Full Driver's License.
  • MR and/or forklift License an advantage.
  • Available for a long-term permanent position.
  • Exceptional diagnostic skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
