Job Title: Rotating Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Rotating Equipment Specialist to join our team for a minimum 12-month assignment, with potential extension up to 18 months. The role can be based in either the Technical Support Team or the Planning Team, depending on the candidate's skillset and preference.

This is a Perth-based position with periodic travel to site, providing a strong platform to further develop your production engineering and planning expertise within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex operational and capital modification projects to mitigate safety, environmental, and financial risks.

  • Provide engineering support in Hazardous Operations Forums, Loss of Primary Containment reviews, and incident investigations.

  • Manage third-party service providers for multi-disciplinary scopes.

  • Support frontline engineering teams during leave coverage and turnarounds.

  • Assist planning engineering teams by reviewing strategies, updating procedures, and responding to queries.

  • Select and scope rotating equipment work for maintenance campaigns.

  • Provide engineering input for Management of Change, Safety Critical Elements, and capital projects.

  • Screen maintenance notifications and manage safety critical elements.

  • Support incident investigations and implement lessons learned.

  • Provide backfill engineering support for frontline/execution teams as required.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree-qualified in Rotating Equipment Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Demonstrated competency achievement per ENG standard.

  • PSM Knowledge Level Competency achieved or attainable.

  • Solid understanding of risk assessment and Management of Change.

  • Experience managing technical work scopes across rotating assets.

  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a dynamic operational setting.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-team collaboration.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in Rotating Equipment Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, demonstrated competency achievement per ENG standard, and PSM Knowledge Level Competency. You should also have solid experience managing technical work scopes across rotating assets and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
