We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
Job Responsibilities:
- To thoroughly test changes and new features across our platforms.
- To create detailed test plans and documentation to track outcomes.
- To liaise with developers and other stakeholders to have defects and quality issues corrected.
- To ensure that the final work product meets all the requirements of the feature's scope.
- To validate and verify that features and functions are working as intended.
- To educate software engineers on common defects and mentor them in improving their own self-testing abilities.
Requirements:
- A minimum of one to three years' experience working within the software development life cycle.
- Extremely detail oriented and able to identify user experience problems.
- A good understanding of software development and programming.
- Curiosity and the ability to think outside the box to determine niche edge cases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to assist in debugging complex issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with command-line interfaces and Linux environments.
- An excellent understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL, and confident writing SQL queries.
- The ability to create specific test scenarios through manual manipulation.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with QA software such as SoapUI, Postman, BurpSuite, ZAP, Fiddler.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Trello.
- Knowledge of the Domain Names and Web Hosting industry.
- Familiarity with Git (including GitHub) and version control.
