We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our research team at the InsideOut Institute.

About the Opportunity

The InsideOut Institute is Australia's national institute for research, translation and clinical excellence in eating disorders with global research partnerships. Our aim is to transform the prevention, early intervention and treatment landscape for eating disorders in Australia, and ultimately find a cure.

  • Undertake and lead quantitative and qualitative research in a number of projects focusing on eating disorders
  • Provide leadership within the research team
  • Develop and write successful applications for competitive research grants and/or funding to deliver research and translation programs
  • Supervise postgraduate research students, volunteers and projects
  • Monitoring of grants including expenditure, governance and ethics
  • Foster excellence in the clinical management of eating disorders and related chronic conditions
  • Contribute to, and directly influence, the development of improved public policy on eating disorders, at a national and international level

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant PhD in mental health, eating disorders or a related field, and have strong experience in research in eating disorders, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder. They should also have demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods and analysis, grant writing and success, and post-graduate supervision.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to these responsibilities, you will be required to hold valid work rights for Australia, apply for and obtain a Working with Children Check clearance, and undergo all necessary pre-employment checks.
