Renewable Energy Lawyer Job

About the Role:

This is a 12 month contract opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join our Australian team in Sydney.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the development of utility-scale Solar and BESS projects in Australia, with strong negotiation, contract drafting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities include designing, drafting, and reviewing joint venture arrangements, project-related term sheets and main project contracts, securing project rights and project finance, and managing legal risks.

Your Profile:

To be successful in this role, you will have a law degree from a recognised university and at least 6 years PQE in a private practice law firm or as legal counsel for a renewable energy developer or in the energy infrastructure field.

  • Experience with land lease and land purchase transactions.
  • Negotiating Power Purchase Agreements and EPC contracts.
  • Dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
