About the Role

YWCA Canberra is seeking a Diploma-qualified Lead Educator to join our team across several of our services in the ACT and surrounding regions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of educators to provide high-quality early childhood education and care.
  • Develop and implement innovative and engaging learning experiences for children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for children and staff.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Experience in leadership and programming.
  • Understanding of Child Protection legislation and Mandatory Reporting requirements.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People card or working with Children Check (NSW) and Police check or ability to obtain.
  • Current first aid/asthma/anaphylaxis training or ability to obtain.
  • Current driving license and transport (desirable).
