Monash Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in a new statewide FASD initiative based at Monash Children's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team to deliver a new statewide project.
About the FASD ServiceThe Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) Service, through Developmental Paediatrics, provides specialist multidisciplinary assessments for children with pre-natal alcohol exposure. The service delivers education, information, and resources to communities at high risk of FASD and provides clinical training in FASD diagnosis for paediatricians, psychologists, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
About FASDConnectFASDConnect is a new partnership between the Monash Health FASD Service and the Victorian Department of Health, aimed at supporting the Targeted Support for Children in Out of Home Care project. The initiative aims to increase early identification and diagnosis of children and young people with FASD in the Out of Home Care system through education of its staff, build capacity of the health system to identify, diagnose, and respond to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, increase awareness and skills in the child protection workforce to collect and document information about prenatal alcohol exposure to support diagnosis, and intersect with the established Monash Health FASD Services.
About YouWe are looking for a Clinical Psychologist with experience in identifying, diagnosing, and responding to FASD, excellent communication skills, experience working in multidisciplinary teams, experience in secondary consultation models of care, and creating and delivering evidence-based education material.
