Job Description

As an HVAC Service Technician at Vertiv, you will be responsible for carrying out commissioning, service maintenance, and after-hours service commitments in a professional and efficient manner. You will maintain relationships between Vertiv and our customers by having professional interactions with customers and providing customer feedback to the Vertiv Team. Additionally, you will keep up-to-date with your training requirements across multiple Vertiv technologies and maintain the supplied company vehicle and personal appearance to the appropriate company standard.

Responsibilities

  • Plan customer service maintenance visits in a structured and methodical manner.
  • Accurately record hours worked, call-out and response times using digital reporting tools.
  • Complete Field Service Reports for every maintenance and service call attended.

Operational Delivery

  • Carry out commissioning, service maintenance, and after-hours service commitments in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Maintain relationships between Vertiv and our customers through professional interactions and customer feedback.
  • Keep up-to-date with training requirements across multiple Vertiv technologies.
  • Maintain the supplied company vehicle and personal appearance to the appropriate company standard.
  • Manage personal onboard spares inventory, record, and report inventory use.

Daily Work Duties and Expectations

  • Hold a valid driver's license, which may involve visiting remote sites.
  • Be prepared for overnight or longer trips, as well as unaccompanied (lone worker) after-hours work and being on an On-Call Roster.
  • Attend customer service calls, utilizing ladders, scissor lifts, and scaffolding when necessary.
  • Work in tight and restricted locations, as well as around energized electrical equipment.
  • Perform tasks involving live refrigerant lines and pressure vessels.
  • Require Work at Heights Training and refreshed every 5 years.
  • Lift, carry, and relocate equipment and components, such as compressors and gas bottles.

Estimated Salary

$65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.

About You

  • Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate (state defendant).
  • Possess a Restricted Electrical License.
  • Have a Refrigerant Handling License.
  • Have technical knowledge of data centers, telecom, commercial, and industrial industries (highly regarded).
  • Show a proven track record within the Air – Conditioning or other precision cooling industry as a service technician.
  • Hold proficiency in Microsoft Office.
