Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the warehouse team.
  • Casual Staff Management: Organise and manage casual staff and labour hire as needed.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to warehouse safety protocols and OH&S regulations, creating a safe work environment.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, update, and maintain warehouse processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Logistics Coordination: Oversee and manage warehouse relocations and logistical movements.
  • Team Support: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a positive work culture.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible to assist with picking, packing, and operating forklifts during busy periods.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an understanding of inventory software systems and oversee their effective use in operations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Oversee administrative tasks such as conducting physical inventory counts and maintaining accurate records of stock levels.
  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring they are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Warehouse Security: Maintain warehouse security.
  • Customer Communication: Communicate with suppliers, and transportation providers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Delivery and Receipt: Oversee deliveries and shipments with customers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with couriers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse and logistics functions.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience in warehouse management (preferred).
  • Forklift Licence (preferred).
  • Work Authorisation: Australia (preferred).
