Wildlife Documentary Career Development
This unique opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience working with a renowned environmental and media organization in South Africa.
The programme focuses on documentary film-making, career development, and environmental issues in Africa. You will have the chance to work alongside staff, learn new skills, and develop your own wildlife documentary set in an African game reserve.
The course runs over 4 weeks, with the first and last weeks spent at Mossel Bay conducting pre-production and post-production work. The remaining 9 days are spent living on a reserve, filming your wildlife documentary.
The programme is divided into separate sections, with each week focusing on a different aspect of documentary film-making, such as narrative writing, interviewing techniques, travel writing, and environmental journalism.
You will also have the opportunity to visit various reserves, sanctuaries, and research institutes along the Garden Route Region of South Africa.
This is an ideal opportunity for interns looking to break into the demanding industry of wildlife documentary film-making.
