Job Description

The Early Childhood Trainee will support our experienced educators in providing high-quality early childhood education to children. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, including mealtime supervision, sleep routines, and educational programs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups;
  • Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes;
  • Work in accordance with food safety regulations;
  • Have a good understanding of and participate when required in emergency procedures;
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties of the Centre;
Requirements
  • Must be willing to enrol or actively working towards a Certificate III in Children's Services;
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), Education and Care Services National Law Act (2010), the National and Victorian Early Years Learning Framework, The National Quality Framework;
  • Ability to observe and document children's development, behaviour, interests, skills, ideas, and strengths;
  • Ability to work supportively and cooperatively as a team member;
