Electrical Engineer - Project Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrical engineer to lead our team on various projects across different sectors. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing electrical design expertise and leading small to medium-sized design projects.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have high-level specialist expertise in electrical building services engineering and design documentation, with a strong background in effectively delivering multiple concurrent projects. They will also possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to drive business development and recognize new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide electrical design leadership on single and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Lead small to medium-sized engineering design projects and support larger, more complex projects.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with external clients and authorities, as well as internal colleagues and managers.
  • Deliver best practices to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, focusing on saving time and reducing costs without compromising on quality.
  • Build solid, long-term relationships with clients, identifying new business development opportunities and understanding their evolving needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
  • 6-10+ years' industry experience on Australian building services projects, ideally in a consulting environment.
  • Well-versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector.
  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills.
  • Capacity to lead, train, and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3000, NCC etc.).
  • Understanding of BIM, NavisWorks, and Revit MEP (advantageous).
  • Proven ability to lead engineering projects and teams, delivering results across multiple sectors.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to drive business development and recognize new opportunities for growth.
