Role Description

The Communications and Corporate Affairs Group builds strategic relationships to enhance awareness of ASIC's mandate. It manages external, digital, and internal communications and delivers consumer education.

This role is part of the Corporate Affairs team, responsible for consumer communications, corporate reporting, events, and communications strategy.

ASIC aims to improve Australians' financial skills and knowledge through Moneysmart. The new multi-year campaign will ensure easy access to independent information on superannuation and retirement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead advertising strategy from conception to delivery for a new campaign to boost Australians' engagement with superannuation and retirement planning.
  2. Leverage market research to guide advertising campaigns and content direction.
  3. Develop and manage campaign planning cycles, including above- and below-the-line campaign activities.
  4. Provide expert advice and support on campaign development to senior executives.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate below-the-line and earned media activities.
  6. Develop effective consumer education advertising campaigns that comply with relevant guidelines.
  7. Respond to changing priorities quickly and identify issues to achieve key advertising outcomes.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or public relations.
  • 7-10 years of experience working for corporate or consumer brands or government agencies. Prior experience delivering large-scale advertising campaigns is desirable.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills designed to influence decisions.
  • Experience working in a large organisation in a regulated industry.
  • Expertise in storytelling to bring brands to life.
  • Executive-level communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing teams by driving clear direction and coaching.
