Early Childhood Educator Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate early childhood educator to join our team at Hopetoun Early Years Centre. As a dedicated professional, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning environments that foster the growth and development of young children.

About the Role
  • This is a full-time position based at Hopetoun Early Years Centre in Flemington.
  • You will work closely with our team of educators to develop and implement play-based programs that meet the needs of our children.
  • You will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our centre through your expertise and experience.

We are a 78-place long day care centre with two co-located sessional kindergarten rooms. Our beautiful, nature-based playground offers endless opportunities for outdoor play and learning.

  • A competitive hourly rate starting at $38.73 + 12% superannuation (commensurate with experience).

Requirements
  • A Diploma of Children's Services or equivalent qualification recognized by the Department of Education and Training.
  • 2–3+ years' experience working in early childhood settings in a part-time or full-time role.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience implementing trauma-informed practices.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Child Safe Standards, and curriculum frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to take initiative, self-manage, and step into a leadership role when needed.
