As a Mental Health Registered Nurse, you will possess eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a general registered nurse, an understanding of Aboriginal cultural values, and a commitment to the advancement and self-determination of Aboriginal communities.
Job Details- Deliver culturally safe mental health services for individuals of all ages in the Katherine West region through direct client contact and family support, or by providing expert advice to Primary Health Care (PHC) team members.
- Exhibit a high standard of professional practice and clinical expertise that incorporates current best practices, education, and research.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, risk evaluations, emergency support, treatment, and case management services, along with various therapeutic interventions to support individuals and their carers affected by mental health conditions.
- Promote mental health awareness and engage in primary prevention activities (e.g., health promotion) in partnership with relevant agencies, community organisations, key stakeholders, consumers, and carers.
