Event Operations Executive

This is a full-time role responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of high-profile sports events to ensure they run smoothly and deliver an exceptional attendee experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive event operations plans to support the delivery of sports events
  • Coordinate and oversee on-site logistics, including venue set-up, staffing, equipment management, and health and safety
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving
  • Monitor event progress and make timely decisions to address any issues or challenges that arise
  • Manage a team of event staff, providing strong leadership, training, and support
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall event experience

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of sports event management/operations experience
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, including the capacity to motivate and encourage a team
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to think on your feet
  • A passion for sports and delivering exceptional event experiences
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
