Early Childhood Educator Position

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to children in our Early Learning Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a team in providing high-quality early childhood education and care.
  • Work in accordance with the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Law and applicable regulations.
  • Implement and uphold the services' philosophy while undertaking all duties.
  • Support the implementation of contemporary, research-based practices at the service.

  • Rotating roster (7.30am – 6pm inclusive shifts).
  • Monthly RDO for full time staff member.

Essential Criteria:

  • AQF Certificate III in Children's Services or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar role or demonstrated natural ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of DET Regulations, National Quality Standards, Frameworks and Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Knowledge of Child Safe Standards and Child Protection.
  • Passionate about Early Childhood Development and the importance of high-quality Early Years programs.
  • Ability to attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Enthusiasm towards personal training and learning opportunities.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts between 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday – Friday.
  • Current First Aid/CPR qualification.
  • Current Anaphylaxis and Asthma training.
