We are seeking an experienced CommVault engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for administering our backup systems, tuning system performance, and installing site-wide software.
Key Responsibilities:- Administering backup systems, including configuring storage units, volume pools, and disk staging
- Tuning system performance to ensure optimal backup and recovery times
- Installing site-wide software and supporting storage hardware and software
- Designing, implementing, and administering data migration activities
- Providing technical guidance and collaborating with other technical SMEs on operations and service improvement initiatives
- 5+ years of experience with Simpana and/or CommVault in large-scale deployments in complex multi-domain environments
- Experience in setting up CommVault in Linux/Unix environments
- Experience in performing backup, recovery, troubleshooting, proactive maintenance, and optimizing performance of CommVault
- Experience with auxiliary copy and data ageing backup job operations
- Substantial professional experience working in a role within an engineering or project environment
