The role of Senior Director, Translational Science and Data Innovation is pivotal in driving the integration of data science and translational research to accelerate the development of therapeutic solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of the intersection of scientific discovery and clinical application.
This senior leadership role oversees the translation of preclinical findings into clinical applications, ensuring that scientific discoveries are effectively developed into actionable insights. The incumbent will lead a global multidisciplinary team to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Drive strategic initiatives to integrate data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence into the research and development pipeline.
- Develop and implement strategies to leverage real-world evidence and big data in research strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute translational studies supporting drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Provide scientific leadership in biomarker discovery, validation, and implementation.
- Ensure the development and utilization of data platforms and tools to support translational research.
- Oversee planning, execution, and reporting of translational and data science projects.
- Develop and execute assays to assess clinical benefit-risk profiles, including efficacy, safety, immunogenicity, pharmacokinetic, and pharmacodynamic biomarkers.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in translational medicine, bioinformatics, or related fields within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Proven track record of leading teams and driving successful research programs from bench to clinic.
- Strong background in clinical development, biomarker discovery, and computational biology.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
- Deep understanding of data analysis techniques, translational research methodologies, and bioinformatics tools.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and work effectively with external collaborators.
