This is a Registered Nurse position at St George Hospital. The nurse will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality nursing care to patients/clients of the hospital, consistent with SESLHD and hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
The nurse will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations. They will also be required to use health information systems and have basic computer skills.
Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing holistic, high-quality patient care in both diagnostic and interventional radiology.
- Rotating in all modalities of Radiology including angiography suite, interventional CT, trauma operation suite, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, MRI, emergency, acute care imaging and recovery.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with patients, clients, and families through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.
- Demonstrated recent post-registration experience in an acute care setting.
