Financial Business Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Accountant to join our team based in Victoria Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial management support and assistance for the execution of project work.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a similar role within the resource industry.

• Supporting the team to ensure all commercial related clauses of the contract are met and audit related processes and issues are in full compliance
• Ensuring compliance to project control systems
• Analysing and reviewing reports for financial accuracy and to identify potential risks
• Working with the project team in the identification / preparation / submission of variations
• Compiling and submitting on time and accurate progress claims, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Providing general administration support to the Commercial Lead.

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (essential)
• Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) (desirable or working towards)
• 3+ years' experience in a similar role within the resource industry
• Sound computer skills with MS Office Suite and financial management systems / databases
• Proven experience of building relationships at all levels of an organisation
• High level of attention to detail with strong business and financial analysis skills e.g. cost management, the ability to investigate project variances and report on this data
• Strong communication skills is essential oral and written including negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships at all stakeholder levels
• Experience delivering insightful reporting analytics and financial commercial information to manage business risk and opportunities
• A willingness to travel to site as per business requirements
