Job Title: Senior Civil Design / Technical Advisor

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Design / Technical Advisor to join our team at Civil Services Group. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and direction on the planning and design of transport infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of planning and design projects and services to support transport infrastructure functional areas in the region.
  • Provide high-level advice, support, and consultancy to professionals and technical staff on the planning and design process.
  • Assist in the selection of the most suitable design process for project delivery and manage project development to ensure compliance and successful delivery.
  • Undertake reviews of temporary and permanent works designs on design and construct contracts to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project brief, technical standards, and legislation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience in the planning and civil design of transport and road infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience in interpreting and applying policies, legislation, technical guidelines, practices, and procedures to TMR policies, standards, and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based CAD systems (particularly 12D and AutoCAD) for transport infrastructure.
Qualifications:
  • Civil Engineering Degree / Bachelor of Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, accepted by the Institution of Engineers Australia as a full Member (MIEAust).
  • Associate Degree in Engineering (Civil) with relevant competencies equivalent to the three-year degree.
  • Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) - applicable to Civil Engineering qualified applicants only.
