Reliability Expert for Mining Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading mining producer and contribute to the improvement of maintenance efficiency and capacity within the team.
About the RoleThis role involves assisting the maintenance teams in achieving performance metrics and continuously improving operational processes, prioritizing safety. To succeed in this position, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in reliability engineering within a mining or heavy industry context.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance practices: Practical knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques for mobile and fixed equipment.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis (RCA): Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough RCA to identify underlying issues and develop corrective actions.
- Experience with condition monitoring technologies: Familiarity with tools and techniques used for monitoring equipment health and performance.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment: Proven capability to manage tasks autonomously while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Adaptability and flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing conditions and requirements within the operational environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree.
- Tertiary or trade qualifications in maintenance and/or engineering disciplines, with practical experience focused on mobile equipment in the mining industry.
- Experience with Mobile and Fixed Flashbutt Welders.
- Trucks.
- Loaders.
- Excavators.
- Trailers.
You should also have advanced proficiency in MS Office, familiarity with SAP Master Data, and certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or CRE (Certified Reliability Engineer).
Additionally, experience with predictive maintenance technologies and data analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI would be advantageous.
