As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based services to people through various service delivery models, including telehealth, community visits, and centre-based services. You will assess and provide interventions for children and adults living with a range of disabilities, work within the NDIS to maximise clients' level of function, capacity, and social engagement, and assist clients with assistive technology assessment, recommendations, and applications.
Our organisation prioritises professional development and offers a New Graduate Program specifically designed to support new graduates in acquiring the skills needed to launch their careers. The program includes weekly 1:1 supervision, core competency skills training sessions, fortnightly group mentoring sessions, mental health drop-in sessions, internal PD sessions, shadowing opportunities with experienced clinicians, and the chance to learn from senior clinicians within multidisciplinary teams.
RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you will need to have or be able to obtain the following:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in speech pathology
- Professional registration with the relevant governing body (e.g., AHPRA)
- Working with Children Check (WWCC or Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police Check and International Police Check (if applicable)
- Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Car insurance
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance
