Graduate Mining Engineer Position

Program Overview
  • The program offers a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, allowing you to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
  • Gain hands-on experience across multiple mine sites in Western Australia, working closely with seasoned professionals to develop highly sought-after mining skills.

You will work an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster based in Perth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in rotations across Westgold's six underground mines and four processing plants in the Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions.
  2. Develop practical underground experience required for the First Class Mine Managers Certificate.
  3. Collaborate with experienced professionals to enhance your mining skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Tertiary qualification in mining engineering.
  • Practical experience or vacation work is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong computer literacy skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to interact effectively with all levels of operation.
  • A current and valid manual driver's licence is mandatory.
  • A national police clearance valid within the last 12 months is required.
  • Ability to pass Westgold's pre-employment process, including medical, drug, and alcohol screening, and right to work checks.
