Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Midwife to join our Midwifery Group Practice team at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a Registered Midwife, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care to women and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity of care to low-risk women, using evidence-based, woman-centered care
  • Care for a caseload of 40 women per year, adhering to the National Midwifery Consultation and Referral Guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with a team of midwives and other healthcare professionals to achieve quality health outcomes
  • Supervise and guide junior and undergraduate midwives in the provision of midwifery care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for women and their families

Requirements

  • Current registration as a midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Bachelor of Midwifery or Graduate Diploma in Midwifery (if Bachelor of Nursing is first qualification) or equivalent
  • At least 2 years post-graduate experience as a Registered Midwife
  • Highly developed clinical skills across the continuum of maternity services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to a family-focused approach to care
  • Valid driver's license and personal car with comprehensive insurance to attend home visits
