Your Role

You will be responsible for meeting production targets by underwriting new business, endorsement changes or renewals within the Personal Lines Department.

**Your Responsibilities:**
Evaluate, accept or decline new business based on underwriting guidelines

Collate underwriting information and refer risks outside the scope of authorities issued or the underwriting guidelines to the Unit Manager with recommendations

Establish and build relationships with potential producers who have prospective business that meets our underwriting guidelines

Assist brokers, colleagues and managers with product and business queries

Work with staff members in other departments to identify cross marketing opportunities as required

**Qualifications:**
Your Skills & Experience

Demonstrated underwriting skills with a focus on Personal Lines products

Understanding of appraisal services, policy practice and documentation

Demonstrated negotiation and marketing skills

Strong written and oral communication skills, including professional phone manner
