Our Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Coastal Marine Ecosystem Specialist to join our team at the Coastal Marine Ecosystems Research Centre (CMERC). As part of our team, you will contribute to research that focuses on protecting and rehabilitating seagrass ecosystems within the Great Barrier Reef Ecosystem.

About the Role

This is a Fixed Term (24 Month Contract), Full Time position in the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences at CQUniversity Gladstone. The successful candidate will be based in Gladstone, QLD, AU and will have access to relocation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold a relevant doctoral qualification or equivalent qualifications or research experience.
  • Some post-doctoral research experience which has resulted in publications, conference papers, reports or professional or technical contributions which give evidence of research ability.
  • Proficiency in seagrass ecology and/or restoration ecology.
  • A solid understanding of ecological principles and processes.
