About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Coach to join our Detour program, which aims to address potential homelessness in young people aged 12-24 years and their families. As a key member of our team, you will provide early intervention and prevention services to support young people in developing the skills and resources they need to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outreach and casework services to young people and their families in the Greater Shepparton and Moira areas.
  • Develop and implement individualized intensive support packages to address the unique needs of each young person.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to provide a strengths-based approach to casework practice and group work.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of program strategies and initiatives to address youth homelessness and family breakdown.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in the community, human services, or social sectors.
  • Experience in working with and providing casework to young people and their families.
  • Understanding of key issues related to youth homelessness and family breakdown.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in strength-based casework practice and group work.
