Disability Support Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team at Endeavour Foundation. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live their best lives and achieve their goals and dreams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to individuals with disabilities in their homes and in the community, promoting independence and empowering them to make their own choices.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal planning, cooking, and light cleaning, to ensure the individual's physical and emotional needs are met.
- Facilitate community connection by socializing and engaging in activities that promote social skills and relationships.
- Support individuals to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
- Work collaboratively with the individual, their family, and other support workers to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Experience working in disability services, preferably in a SIL (Supported Independent Living) environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and sleepovers (penalty rates apply).
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's autonomy and dignity.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check (previously a Yellow Card).
- Hold or be willing to obtain a First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance to transport clients in the community.
