Mechatronics Engineer Role Overview

This multidisciplinary position combines mechatronics, electronics, and software engineering to design and develop innovative solutions for the agricultural industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design embedded systems integrating sensors, microcontrollers, actuators, and power systems for precision agriculture applications.
  • Create mechanical components and assemblies for internal integration and outdoor deployment in harsh farming environments.
  • Write firmware in C++ and Python for STM32 and Particle-based platforms.
  • Improve testing and verification processes to ensure quality and reliability of developed products.
  • Collaborate with production teams to optimize manufacturability and test coverage.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electronics or mechatronics roles.
  • Proficiency in writing firmware in C++/Python for embedded systems.
  • Experience testing electronics using lab equipment and debugging failures.
  • Experience designing parts for manufacture and fit using CAD tools like Fusion 360.
  • Able to independently explore problems and learn by doing.
Bonus Points:
  • Experience with systems engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with verifying and validating physical systems.
  • Knowledge of designing for manufacture and assembly (DFM/DFA).
