About the Role

This senior pastoral position oversees the Girls' Boarding program, focusing on student wellbeing, academic success, and personal growth. The successful candidate will lead a team of boarding staff, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for students.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Enable girl boarders to thrive academically, socially, and personally by providing guidance, support, and resources.
  2. Collaborate with the Director of Boarding/Head of Boys' Boarding to achieve optimal outcomes for boarding students.
  3. Oversee the general wellbeing, behavior, and morale of girl boarders, addressing disciplinary matters as needed.
  4. Liaise with teaching staff, Health Centre, and other stakeholders to ensure individual student needs are met.
  5. Select student leaders in consultation with the Director of Boarding/Head of Boys' Boarding.
  6. Maintain comprehensive student records and communicate effectively with parents.
  7. Support student participation in co-curricular activities and attend major School events.
  8. Work with Health Centre staff to manage medical requirements and oversee student leave and holiday arrangements.
  9. Manage facility allocation and maintenance, ensuring consistency with WHS requirements.
  10. Lead and manage boarding staff, promoting teamwork and good morale.
  11. Foster strong relationships with Boarder parents and communities through regular communication and engagement.
