Senior Project Engineer at Symal Contractors

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead complex civil projects for Tier 1 & 2 building clients in Melbourne.

About the Role:
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team, with a proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects and leading teams to successful outcomes.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in self-performing construction engineering activities, cost forecasting, and implementing safety measures.

The daily responsibilities of this role include:

  • Coordinating construction engineering activities to ensure project delivery according to plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Participating in monthly financial reviews and providing cost forecasts against budgets.
  • Leading a strong safety culture and managing the construction program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Project Management.
  • A minimum of 6+ years' experience in delivering infrastructure projects and leading teams.
  • Effective communication skills with clients, consultants, management, and on-site personnel.
  • Understanding of HSE/QA compliance.
  • Ability to travel regionally when needed.

We offer a competitive salary package including: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus benefits such as tailored professional development opportunities, bonus leave days, Bupa corporate healthcare benefits, and flexible working arrangements.
