Self Employment Specialist

This role is an opportunity to support individuals in achieving their goals and aspirations. As a Consultant, you will work with participants to deliver a comprehensive training and mentoring program.
The Self Employment Assistance (SEA) program is designed to provide valuable knowledge and guidance to help participants start and build their own businesses. You will be responsible for implementing marketing and networking strategies to engage potential participants, consulting and assessing applicants, and assisting them in developing a detailed business plan.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. You should also have exposure and understanding of small business management, as well as experience working with diverse cultural communities.
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm. The ideal candidate will have a current driver's licence, a comprehensively insured vehicle, and the ability to pass a Working with Children Check.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement marketing and networking strategies
- Consult and assess applicants
- Assist participants in developing a business plan
- Provide coaching, motivation and guidance to participants
- Monitor financial viability of businesses
