We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to join our team in Glen Waverley, focusing on commercial lending and delivering a range of needs and requirements for medium to large sized businesses across Australia.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Relationship Manager or Business Banker to step up and develop their skills in complex, high value lending. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions using our range of innovative products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND RETAIN THEIR BUSINESS THROUGH EXCELLENT CLIENT SERVICE;
  • IDENTIFY AND PURSUE NEW TO BANK OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH YOUR NETWORK AND REFERRAL PARTNERS;
  • DELIVER A BROAD RANGE OF FINANCIAL SOLUTIONS BY ENGAGING PRODUCT SPECIALISTS AND PROVIDING IN-DEPTH UNDERSTANDING OF COMPLEX CLIENT NEEDS;
  • DRIVE DEAL EXECUTION WITH PROVEN SKILLS IN ORIGINATION, STRUCTURING AND NEGOTIATION OF COMPLEX SOLUTIONS;
  • CONTINUE TO BUILD YOUR PROFILE AND PRESENCE ON BEHALF OF COMMONWEALTH BANK ACROSS THE REGION.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • SOLID EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING AND LEADING A SUCCESSFUL SMALL BUSINESS OR COMMERCIAL BANKING PORTFOLIO AND LENDING ABOVE $1M;
  • A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF BANKING PRODUCTS AND SERVICES;
  • HIGHLY SKILLED IN CREDIT AND COMFORTABLE IN FINANCIAL ANALYSIS, WITH A STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF FINANCIAL DOCUMENTS AND THE UNDERLYING CASH-FLOW DRIVERS;
  • PRIIDE YOURSELF IN BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS THROUGH EXCELLENT SERVICE AND DRIVING NEW BUSINESS.
