The opportunity:

Based at our recycling facility, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing manager and/or a lower-level operational leader wanting to springboard their career to the next level.

This autonomous role will be accountable for the leadership and management of all aspects of operations, including safety, people management, quality, and financials.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensure safe operations and compliance with all quality systems.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and development to the team within the facility and management of direct reports.
  • Manage all aspects of the use of contractors, including agency casuals, maintenance, services, and contractors.
  • Ensure that production stays on schedule and quality standards are met.
  • Look for process improvement opportunities.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Relevant qualifications in manufacturing, business, or engineering would be beneficial.
  • Prior leadership experience working within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, excellent team-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office products, Word, Excel, SharePoint.
  • Ability to understand and read P&L reports and balance sheets.
