Key Responsibilities:

A skilled engineer is required to join our team in a Devonport-based role.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, updating, and maintaining written instructions for planned preventative maintenance tasks across the fleet.

About the Role:

  • Translate technical knowledge into clear, actionable documentation that supports the safe and effective operation of weapons systems.
  • Work closely with maintainers, operators, OEMs, subject matter experts, and Defence stakeholders to ensure maintenance procedures are accurate and practical.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect equipment and gather insights as part of maintenance investigations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4+ years' experience in weapons or mission systems engineering.
  • Strong hands-on diagnostic and technical troubleshooting ability.
  • Understanding of computer maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Understanding of maintenance standards and documentation.
  • Proven ability to deliver timely engineering solutions.
  • Competent with technical documentation and engineering analysis.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration in technical settings.
