Job Opportunity:

At Monash University, we are seeking a highly skilled Computational Chemistry Research & Development Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in the GPCR drug discovery program.

About the Role:

As a key member of our team, you will design and optimize novel molecules and drug candidates using cutting-edge computational approaches.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing molecular dynamics, protein modeling, virtual screening, molecular docking, and structure-activity relationship analysis techniques.
  • Collaborating with biologists, chemists, and structural biologists to design and execute computational drug discovery projects.
  • Designing and optimizing novel molecules and drug candidates for the GPCR drug discovery program.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced researcher with a PhD in an appropriate discipline, such as Computer Science, Computational Chemistry, or Bioinformatics.

Key requirements include:

  • Extensive experience in computational drug discovery, including molecular dynamics, protein modeling, and virtual screening.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • Experience with GPCRs and their applications in drug discovery.
