Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Technician

Job Description:

Wagners are currently seeking a suitably qualified mechanical equipment technician with a strong personal commitment to safety and a willingness to expand on their current skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for undertaking the general maintenance and servicing of plant equipment, including Horizontal Ball Mill, Vertical Roller Mill, Belt and Screw Conveyors, Storage Silos, Bagging Shed and Dust Collectors.

The successful candidate will also perform tasks such as oxy cutting and welding of materials, assembly and modification of plant and equipment, diagnose and rectify mechanical faults, and implement and continuously improve safety initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A strong safe work ethic
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualifications in Fitting & Turning/Mechanical Fitter/Fitter Welder
  • Experience with computerised maintenance systems
  • Experience working within an engineering fabrication environment
  • Flexibility, adaptability and versatility of approach to handle changing work requirements
  • Ability to establish and manage working relationships with directors, senior management team and employees
